Weapons, also known as Armaments, are equipment items in Elden Ring and Shadow of the Erdtree.

Overview[]

Weapons scale in power based on the player's attributes. Several weapons can be wielded two-handed, affecting their attack strength and animation patterns. For keyboard controls, the command to switch to two-handed mode is to hold E and then click the attack button of the weapon in question.

There are two types of Armaments: generic weapons that are upgraded with Smithing Stones and unique weapons, which are bolstered with Somber Smithing Stones. Armaments may be improved by interacting with Smithing Master Hewg, Smithing Master Iji, or the Smithing Table at the Church of Elleh. Armaments of both types fall into one of four categories: Melee Armaments, Ranged Armaments, Catalysts, and Shields.
