Seven valkyries clad in white armor. These servants of the heavens restore the balance of the world by wielding heroic weapons that purify chaos. But even heroines must one day sleep, so why not retire early to the annals of history?Expeditions

The Weapon-Bequeathed Harmonia, also known as the Balancers and Salvation's Standard-Bearers, are one of the Nightlord bosses in Elden Ring Nightreign, included in the Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows expansion.

Characteristics[]

Harmonia's render.

The Balancers are pallid maidens wielding victorious weapons. Their armor resembles white flowers. Their faces are similar to Trina's and have white clothes as wings.

However, Everdark Harmonia is drenched in blood. Their clothes are red rather than white, while the wings are very rose-like and bloody. In their final form they emerge as a giant worm-like creature drenched in blood. The worm has the corpses of balancers all over its body, with one in the middle of its face that has a spear.

Background[]

Young Harmonia fled into the forest to seek help when ruthless marauders terrorized her small farming settlement. The village girl prayed to a statue of a guardian deity with a weapon raised overhead, and was granted great power. By the end, the village was steeped in red and settled in silence. Harmonia, drenched in blood, stood with a vacant stare and a heroic weapon in her grip.[1]

She became the Balancers, seven white-winged valkyries of the heavens, sent to purify chaos and restore balance to the world.[2]

Moveset[]

Moveset
Attack Description
Purifying Light Channels light through the spear, sending a linear ground wave that sprouts erupting spears. Dodge or strafe sideways to exit the line and punish recovery.
Circle of Purification Casts an outward-expanding ring of spears. Sprint outward, then dodge toward the Balancer as the ring erupts for a safe punish.
Spear Swipe Teleports, leaps, and performs a horizontal landing swipe. Roll toward the leap and counter once or twice.
Spear Thrust Rushes forward with a straight thrust, sometimes twice. Side-roll and circle behind during recovery.
Double Spear Swipe Executes two wide horizontal swipes. Roll toward the first to slip behind, or roll back to disengage.
Purity of Lightning (Phase 2) Floats with a glowing left hand, then dives for a long-range lightning grab that impales on hit. Roll toward the dive to evade.
Harmonious Smite (Phase 2) Sequential individual dives leaving delayed explosive trails, followed by a coordinated dive and a spear barrage from above. Sprint out of trails and dodge early to avoid explosions.
Dancing Spear (Phase 2) Gliding multi-slash sequence followed by airborne crescent projectiles. Out-run the first flurry; roll toward incoming projectiles.
Smite (Phase 2) Leader signals synchronized dives that leave explosive trails, followed by Purity of Lightning. Reposition early and roll through the final grab.
Purifying Blast (Phase 2) Leader vanishes; a light ray marks an impending explosion. Sprint from the ray or roll through it to counter safely.
Absolution (Phase 2) Teleports Balancers, kneels, and releases four expanding spear-waves while gaining attack buffs. Time forward rolls into each wave.
Pouncing Combo (Phase 2) Purifying Light → airborne retreat → pounce and thrust-flurry with diving finisher. Side-roll the Light, widen distance, and dodge the pounce and final hit.
Pulverizing Slams (Phase 2) Repeated empowered spear-slams, upward slash, and a final explosive fissure. Roll the opener, stay behind until the slash, then dodge the fissure.

Strategies[]

  • The Sleep Sleep status effect is Harmonia's greatest weakness. It is easily inflicted on the valkyries, causing them to fall into a deep slumber that lasts for an extended duration, comparable to that of Godskins. This serves as a means to control their numbers, tipping the scales. Sleeping Balancers are also vulnerable to Critical Attacks.
  • Parrying is a valid strategy for Wylder against Harmonia because most of her attacks can be Parried.

Boss Pool for Balancers Expeditions[]

Night 1:

  • Demon In Pain & Demon From Below
  • Divine Beast Warrior & Curseblade

Night 2:

Everdark

Notes[]

  • Harmonia's boss clear message is "Balance Disrupted."
  • Harmonia is fully modeled beneath her armor. Her sleeping, cherubic face strongly resembles St. Trina's, whose eyelids also appear to be bruised.
  • Everdark Harmonia's cranial cavity houses a dark seed surrounded by six glowing sprouts—one for each of her clones—during Phase 3. It blossoms into a magnificently red bloodflower during Phase 4, transforming Harmonia into a Tree Spirit in full bloom.
  • Harmonia's name and botanical nature tacitly confirm her Numen Shaman lineage: "The flesh of shamans was said to meld harmoniously with others."[3]
  • She may be connected to the Formless Mother because Lord of Blood is one of her Night bosses. Her Everdark Sovereign armor is identical to Varré's Bouquet.
  • Defeating Weapon-Bequeathed Harmonia for the first time unlocks the Dreglord expedition. The Balancers kept Traitorous Straghess at bay, and are visible within his boss battle skybox.
  • Everdark Harmonia's grand bloodflower bloom unfurls in the divine "eight around one" pattern.

Trivia[]

  • Internal name (Valkyrie): AngelsDaughters.
  • Internal name (Tree Spirit): (ID: 4641).
  • Harmonia's Tree Spirit form is a modified Ulcerated Tree Spirit (ID: 4640).
  • Her screech attack uses the same sound as Deathbirds.
