Vyke the Dragonspear, also known as Roundtable Knight Vyke and Festering Fingerprint Vyke, is a character in Elden Ring. He acts as an Invader and a Boss.
Overview[]
Vyke was a Tarnished champion better known for being the closest to becoming Elden Lord before the arrival of the player protagonist.
He was a member of Leyndell's Ancient Dragon Cult, through which he met Lansseax. She shared with him Ancient Dragon incantations and he soon became her most beloved knight.[1] Vyke's mastery grew and he developed his own incantation—Vyke's Dragonbolt, a signature move that electrified his body and lance—earning him the nickname Vyke the Dragonspear.
Vyke went on to join the Roundtable Hold, where he was known as the Roundtable Knight. "No other Tarnished was closer to the throne of the Elden Lord than Vyke. But, without announcement, Vyke traveled far below the capital, and was scorched by the flame of frenzy."[2] It is believed he either did it for his maiden, or was lured there by other force. According to a Stranded Soul, he was expected to then become the Lord of Frenzied Flame but, for some reason, he didn't.[3] Instead, he was imprisioned in an Evergaol, although he still invades those who approach the Church of Inhibition near the Frenzied Flame Village.[4][5]

Festering Fingerprint Vyke (Invader)[]
A dark spirit who invades in Liurnia of the Lakes, on the path leading to the Church of Inhibition.
Vyke will use Vyke's War Spear along with several Frenzy Flame spells. Like other humanoid invaders, he will heal with a Flask of Crimson Tears if needed.

Roundtable Knight Vyke (Boss)[]
This mini-boss version is found at the Mountaintops of the Giants in the Lord Contender's Evergaol, close to the First Church of Marika (just west of it) on a hill that you can jump up to.
Uses Ancient Dragon Incantations, has a Flask of Crimson Tears, and uses a unique jump attack with his spear. His movements are usually slow and easy to predict, although his abilities can easily kill anyone with low lightning protection. Unlike his Festering Fingerprint form, Vyke does not use any Frenzy abilities during this fight.

- Vyke has no dialogue.
- Finger Reader Enia mentions that "Only once before [has she] seen two Great Runes together". This is probably a reference to Vyke, since he is the only one who ever got close to be Elden Lord. Nevertheless, not any other details are given about the situation and Vyke isn't ever mentioned anywhere as having had runes.

- Vyke is the mascot for Elden Ring. He appears prominently on the box art and in marketing materials.
- The maiden corpse at the Church of Inhibition is identical to the the character named [133600] Vyke's Finger Maiden in the game's files.
Roundtable Knight Vyke was an NPC in an earlier build of Elden Ring. He was introduced at Stormveil Castle, where he was a possible Cooperator against Godrick the Grafted. His questline intersected with those of Gatekeeper Gostoc and Redeemer Guilbert.
- Unused audio files within the game warn the player about a knight with melted armor; most probably Vyke.
