Slash with the wicked dagger, transforming its never-drying bloodstains into airborne blood blades that cause hemorrhaging. Can be fired in rapid succession.

Effect[]

Throws blade of blood that deals Standard damage equal to 143% of the weapon's Attack Power and inflicts 90 base Blood Loss build-up (effectively 180% of the weapon's own Blood Loss build-up).

Can also hit with the dagger if anyone is withing its melee reach, dealing damage equal to 55% of the weapon's Attack Power and inflicting 100% of regular Blood Loss build-up.

Notes[]

  • Since the both the blood blade and the dagger hit at melee range the damage increases to 198% of Attack Power and Blood Loss increases to 280% of base Blood Loss.
  • Essentially a version of Blood Blade that inflicts 50% more Blood Loss build-up (at range) and doesn't deal self-damage in exchange for dealing on average 4% less Standard damage (compared with a Great Knife with 80 Arcane and Occult affinity) and costing twice as much FP to cast.
    • Since Blood Blade is available on larger weapon types with greater average Attack Power it can potentially deal more damage at melee range.

Trivia[]

  • Patch 1.07 increased attack power, added damage detection to the weapon part.
    • Damage of the blood blade was increased from 120% of the weapon's Attack Power to 143% of it.
    • Prior to this patch the skill wouldn't deal extra damage to enemies within the dagger's own range, as those "attacks" lacked a hitbox.
