A corpse fiend comprising countless bodies and discarded detritus. However they are torn apart or pulverized, their communal resentment writhes with determination, outwitting every form of annihilation. This obsessive mound of flesh, unlike any form of life ever to exist, has no obvious weakness.Expeditions

Traitorous Straghess, also known as the Dreglord, is one of the Nightlord bosses included in the Elden Ring Nightreign: The Forsaken Hollows expansion for Elden Ring Nightreign. When its health is depleted, it gains a second health bar by transforming into Pure Impulse Straghess.

Characteristics[]

ERN Render Traitorous Straghess

Traitorous Straghess is a large, staff-wielding humanoid boss formed from discarded corpses.[1][2] The fight opens with slow, clearly telegraphed attacks, allowing consistent windows for evasion and counterattacks. At roughly 50% health, Straghess enters its second phase. It begins using attacks and spells that inflict Scarlet Rot Scarlet Rot and control space or block movement, sharply increasing the difficulty. Straghess also summons Putrid Corpses and Rotmounds that impede and trap the players.

Upon depletion of its health bar, Traitorous Straghess gains a second health bar and transforms into Pure Impulse Straghess, initiating the third and most demanding phase. Still applying Scarlet Rot Scarlet Rot, it becomes a markedly agile and erratic melee attacker, punishing players who overextend or fail to adjust to the faster tempo. Pure Impulse Straghess frequently disengages before re-entering with high-speed lunges and unrelenting attack combos, making sustained pressure difficult to maintain. It enters the fourth phase at approximately half health, at which point it summons pillars of flesh throughout the arena. These obstructions conceal its approach and allow it to trigger a wide explosive attack, forcing players to track its position while remaining constantly mobile.

The traces left behind by countless battles were pelted by rains, transported by muddy streams, and collected in deposits. This mixture of remorse, desperation, and sorrow eventually formed legs, stood of its own accord, and finally, voiced a curse that would be its mantra. 'Smash, smash, smash the Night...'"
