Sword Monuments are landmarks found throughout the Lands Between. They serve to provide the player with information about the history of the world, typically of the area that the monument is found in.

- Localization Notes
- The two Liurnian Wars and the Routing of the Ancient Dragons are referred to as 戦役 (Sen'eki), which can be read "military campaign" and "battle", as well as "war."[1]
- The second line in the First Liurnian War monument says less ambiguously "red-haired Radagon becomes a hero." (赤髪のラダゴン、英雄となる, Akagami no Radagon, eiyū to naru.)
- The "siege" of Caria Manor is referred to as 防衛戦 (Kōjō-sen) meaning "defensive battle", the same kanji used to refer to the First and Second Defenses of Leyndell.[2]
- Radahn less ambiguously is called "protector of Sellia" (サリアの護り, Saria no mamori) in the second line of the Starscourge Conflict monument.
- The second line of the Routing of the Ancient Dragons monument says less specifically that Godwyn the Golden fought bravely or desperately,[3] rather than "to the last." (黄金のゴッドウィン勇戦し, Ougon no Goddowin yūsen shi)
- The second line of the First Defense of Leyndell monument says that the sovereign alliance "collapses from within and becomes defeated" or "becomes a defeated army." (内から瓦解し敗軍となる, Uchi kara gakai shi haigun to naru.)
- The swords that are used in the Sword Monuments are strikingly similar to the Stone-Sheathed Sword, which may be transformed into either the Sword of Light or Sword of Darkness.
- May be a reference to the Hill of Swords from Berserk.
- Consequently may be a reference to Sverd i fjell in Norway.
