Spear Talisman is a talisman in Elden Ring.

Description[]

A talisman depicting a spear and a soldier.
Enhances the counterattacks that are unique to thrusting weapons.
Spears are standard weapons for soldiers in the Lands Between.
They made it possible to respond to a ferocious foe with an equally ferocious counterattack.

Acquisition[]

Obtained from a chest in Lakeside Crystal Cave, in southern Liurnia of the Lakes.
- The chest can be found in a demi-human campsite found by following the path in the cave without dropping down, past two braziers through a smaller cave in the back.

Effect[]

Strengthens Counter Hits from Piercing attacks by 15%.

As the damage bonus for Counter Hits with Piercing attacks is already 30%, this stacks with that bonus for a total damage boost of 50%.

Notes[]

As with the regular Counterhit damage bonus, this damage bonus is only applied if a target is attack in the middle of an attack animation.
Note that the important bit is not that the attack made is a thrust, but that the damage it deals is Pierce damage.
- This leads to some seemingly unexpected synergy with the Lucerne, Pickaxe, Rusted Anchor, and Warpick as all their attacks deal Pierce damage despite not looking the part.
Skills such as Giant Hunt deal heavy Pierce damage, giving synergy with the Shard of Alexander and the like, and many weapons also reserve their Pierce damage for their heavy attacks, giving some combination potential with the Axe Talisman.
