There is a limited number of Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stones that can be acquired each playthrough. As of now, a total number of 8 have been discovered:
- Three in Elphael, Brace of the Haligtree.
- One from Latenna upon completing her questline.
- One in the Mohgwyn Palace.
- One in Leyndell, Ashen Capital.
- One in the Crumbling Farum Azula.
- One dropped by Anastasia, Tarnished-Eater at the Consecrated Snowfield.
In Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree, slaying a Ghostflame Dragon will also provide a Somber Ancient Dragon Smithing Stone
