Sentry stones (見張り石, Mihari Ishi) are enemies in Elden Ring. They are typically passive wildlife unless provoked.
Overview[]
The stone sentries are ominous creatures made from living rock. Their cylindrical, tube-like bodies are long chains of rounded stones bound together by gravitational energy. A crater in the topmost rock bears a single eye. They enjoy crawling around like earthworms, and are typically passive. At night, their eyes beam bright purple light as they watch over the Evergaols in silence.

Locations[]
Sentry stones are found across the Lands Between and the Realm of Shadow.
Moveset[]
- There are a few different stone sentries. Each has a different move pool. You can distinguish them based upon their idle behaviors. Some sentries will defy gravity and spin around like tops, others might explode, and only a few may fire laser beams from their eyes.
Notes[]
- The sentry stones drop Ruin Fragments, shards that fell from Crumbling Farum Azula.[1][2] The city of the ancient dragons was lifted into the sky after being struck by a meteor in prehistoric times.[3][4]
- The stone sentries may fire lasers from their eyes in a manner similar to Metyr, Mother of Fingers, whose star was the first to fall upon the Lands Between.[5]
