Rellana was drawn to Messmer. In the days leading up to the crusade, the gallant Twin Moon Knight disavowed her birthright, entering ritual combat at the colosseum to demonstrate her fidelity to the Erdtree.[4] Her sister, by then Carian Queen, accepted her abdication and sanctioned her quest, bequeathing a length of her lustrous black hair.[5] Rellana and a group of her Carian Knights joined Messmer's crusade,[6] knowing full well that not even the brilliance of the moon could grant him succor.[7]
Rellana is an optional boss as she can be bypassed via the sealed Spiritspring in Gravesite Plain to enter Scadu Altus.[11]
Needle Knight Leda can be summoned to fight this boss. However, her summon sign will not be available after entering Shadow Keep Castle for the first time.
Moveset List
Blade Dance
Phase 1
Rellana's bread and butter combo starter; jumps to the side and will do a spin slash followed by a quick stab. Will then follow with a myriad of attacks from then on.
3-String Attack
Phase 1
Slices each weapon once and ends with Double Thrust with both light great swords.
6-String Attack
Phase 1
Starts with an upward thrust with each weapon, followed by one spinning attack, a quick sweep with each weapon and ends with another Double Thrust.
Carian Phalanx
Phase 1 & 2
Will only use when at a distance. There are two variations:
Hovering: just like the spell of the same name, she will summon three glintblades atop her head, which will automatically track the player after a while. She can still attack while the skill is active.
Forward: a direct attack, she will summon three glintblades in front of her, which will track the player without delay. She can follow with a two strike lunge. and may sometimes even extend the lunge into a combo.
During phase 2, both moves summon more glintblades.
Carian Sovereignty
Phase 1
Lifts one of her swords, charging up a massive magical greatsword that is then slammed down, and after a brief pause performs a sweep.
Moonlight Wave
Phase 1
Crouches while holding the sword behind her; after a second the sword will start will start to glow bright and then fire a magic arc towards your direction. She may do this attack instantly or within a slight delay.
Sleight of Sword - Flame
Phase 1
Using the Fire-imbued Greatsword, Rellana will make a twisting move to create a tornado-like flame around her. This move damages multiple times to everything within the AoE and creates smaller rings of fire in the outer area. Rellana can repeat this move up to 3 times.
Sleight of Sword - Magic
Phase 1
Will make a series of slashes in different directions using the magic-imbued Greatsword. After about 4 slashes will raise her sword over her head and strike a heavy attack, and adding an arc projectile that travels directly in front of her.

Moon-and-Fire Stance
Phase 2
Upon reaching 50% of her health, Rellana will imbue both of her swords with Glintstone magic and Messmer Fire, respectively.
Will only do this after reaching 30% of her health. After rising into the air, she will summon two large moons and then sends down one after the other into the ground, before slamming down herself. All three attacks create a massive shockwave which launches targets into the air, making them get hit by the others.
