Rejection is an incantation spell in Elden Ring. It is one of the Two Fingers incantations.
Description[]
Incantation of the Two Fingers' faithful.
Produces a shockwave that knocks back nearby foes. Charging increases the size of the shockwave.
Hark, Tarnished! If you truly walk in faith, you must be prepared to reject all else.
Acquisition[]
Purchase: Roundtable Hold / Altus Plateau / Leyndell, Royal Capital / Mountaintops of the Giants
- Sold for 1,500 Runes by Brother Corhyn.
- Should Corhyn die before purchasing this Incantation from him, the player can still purchase it from the Twin Maiden Husks for the same price, after giving them Corhyn's Bell Bearing.
Effects[]
Rejection produces a shockwave, knocking back enemies within a 2-meter radius and inflicting heavy Stamina damage to guarding enemies—180 in PvE and 220 in PvP—while also dealing 10 Stance damage.
Charging the spell increases the radius to 4 meters, Stamina damage to 220 in PvE and 275 in PvP, and Stance damage to 14.
Notes[]
- Costs 9 FP per cast.
- Costs 24 Stamina per cast. Charging the spell increases the cost to 31.
- Requires 1 Memory Slot to be equipped.
- Rejection has 0 Attack Power and deals no damage.
- Knockback occurs in the direction the caster is facing.
Strategies[]
- The player model is just under 2 meters tall, making it a useful reference for measuring the spell's reach.
- Although this incantation deals no damage, it can instantly kill enemies or other players by knocking them off edges.
- This spell easily knocks down most flying or jumping foes and can be used to break the Stance of many enemies.
- The knockback effect applies to Crystalians even while armored, breaking their Stance in 7 hits, or 5 hits if charged.
Trivia[]
- Rejection is one of the few offensive spells that deal no damage.
- Although this spell is affected by the Godfrey Icon when charged, its 0 damage output makes the 15% damage boost irrelevant.
- Patch 1.07: Increased stamina attack power against guarded enemies.
- This increased the Stamina damage against guarding enemies from 150 to 180 when uncharged and from 180 to 220 when charged.
- Stamina damage against guarding players was instead increased to 220 when uncharged and 275 when charged.
