The Regal Ancestor Spirit is an optional Remembrance boss in Elden Ring. It is encountered at the northern Hallowhorn Grounds along the Siofra River after lighting six bonfires.
Background[]
- Main article: Ancestor Spirit
Deer-like spirits found in Siofra River. They exist beyond the purview of the Erdtree, and follow the principle that life sprouts from death as it does from birth.[1] This process is reflected by their horns, which sprout new growths even after the ancestor's death.[2] Shamans of the Ancestral Followers don headdresses fashioned from horns with buds, mirroring the appearance of the ancestor spirits.[3]
Ancestor Spirits appear emaciated, with exposed ribs, matted fur, and cavities in their chests. They have large, antler-like horns which glow and sprout small buds.
Characteristics[]
An Ancestor Spirit found in the upper part of Siofra River at the northern Hallowhorn Grounds, north-east of Night's Sacred Ground and the Ancestral Woods Site of Grace. Much like the other Ancestor Spirit, this one can only be fought after lighting flames- in this case six- in the surrounding area and then touching the horned remains.
Boss fight[]
Although it initially fights in much the same way as the standard Ancestor Spirit, once its health has been reduce to half it will start to heal itself by siphoning HP from the player, as well as from the spirit animals in the arena. It will also sometimes collapse and fade away, and then emerge from one of the other animals in the arena. It can also use abilities reminiscent of other animals- hopping like a springhare, charging like a boar, or curling into a ball and rolling like a goat.
