The Ravenmount assassins are a faction in Elden Ring. They wish to transform into Deathbirds.^[1]

The assassins of Ravenmount were imitators of the malevolent Deathbirds,^[2]^[3] the keepers of the ghostflame. Through a ritual, they sought to replicate the presence of the ancient birds by donning black plumage and wielding razor-sharp talons.^[1] As raptors, they vanished in a mist of feathers, only to swoop down from above with lethal precision.^[4] Their faces were tightly bound with skeletal masks to preserve their human instincts while fully immersing themselves in their sacred task.^[5]

Trivia[]

Hidden Plumage, a black feather symbolizing the Deathbirds,^[6] was a crafting material that was cut from Elden Ring,^{[Note 1]} and may have been used by the assassins to craft the Raptor's Black Feathers chestpiece.
The connection between corvids and death in popular media largely arises from the carrion crow. The collective name for a group of crows is a "murder".
