Putrid Corpse is an enemy in Elden Ring.

Overview[]

Shambling, decomposing corpses found in various regions of the Lands Between, to whom death does not come easily.[1] Although their movements are slow, they may lurch forward or attempt to grab their foes when they get close enough.

Four of the regular variety can be summoned with the Putrid Corpse Ashes.

Variant Description[]

Corpses infested with maggots, visible within the open cavities in their chests. Their attacks inflict poison buildup, and they can project poison from their chests.

Variant Description[]

Corpses which emit a blue light from their eye sockets and mouths, only found in the large graveyard within the Academy of Raya Lucaria. They can drain the player's FP by grabbing them.

Variant Description[]

Perpetually burning corpses found most commonly in Caelid, but also in the East Windmill Pasture in Altus Plateau. They will run at the player when they see them before exploding.

Variant Description[]

Corpses infected by the Scarlet Rot. Their attacks inflict Scarlet Rot, and they can fire rot projectiles from their chest cavities.

Corpses covered in vivid red blisters, found in Mohgwyn Palace. When killed, they explode, releasing a cloud of flies which inflicts Blood Loss.
