Primeval Sorcerer Lusat is a character in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Primeval Sorcerer Lusat hailed from Sellia,[1] a town of magic-practicing assassins located in the eastern Caelid Wilds.[2]
Lusat was one of the founding glintstone sorcerers of the Academy of Raya Lucaria.[3] His inquiry into meteors at the academy formed the basis for his Olivinus Conspectus.[4] When he glimpsed into the primeval current, he witnessed the final moments of a great star cluster—the sight of which broke him.[5]
Lusat was exiled alongside Primeval Sorcerer Azur when the Carian Royals gained control of the academy.[6] He returned to his home and locked himself in the Sellia Hideaway,[1] protected by a barrier which could only be broken using a Sellian Sealbreaker.[7] In this cave his body became corroded by glintstone as he attained a near-inorganic state,[8] his blue glintstone crown entirely replacing his brain and skull.[9]
After the Tarnished discovers the similarly inorganic body of Azur on Mt. Gelmir and reports his whereabouts to Sorceress Sellen, she entrusts them with a Sellian Sealbreaker and tasks them with tracking down Lusat's body. [10] The Tarnished discovers Lusat, almost immobile and covered in blue crystals, and the sorcerer bestows upon them their legendary sorcery, Stars of Ruin. With both primeval sorcerers located, Sellen has their bodies moved to the Academy of Raya Lucaria, planning to use them to hone the primeval current.[11]

Notes[]
- Lusat's Glintstone Staff can be found in Sellia, Town of Sorcery, in a chest beneath a chair-crypt, accessible after defeating the Nox Nightmaiden and Nox Swordstress boss fight.
- The Olivinus Glintstone Crown resembles a portrait seen in several places in the Academy of Raya Lucaria. As the Olivinus Conspectus began with Lusat, it is possible that both the portrait and the headpiece are modelled after his original appearance.
