It is said that when Oracle Envoys appear, playing their pipes, they do so to herald the arrival of a new god, or a new age. |

Oracle Envoys are Enemies in Elden Ring. While able to engage in melee, they prefer to attack from a distance with bubbles of Holy energy produced by playing their trumpet-like instruments.
Overview[]
Oracle Envoys are spindly, legless creatures of unknown origin whose musical presence marks the imminent arrival of a new god or age. Their spindly arms support long golden horns accented with various rings, wheels, nodes, and spirals, which they sound to produce sacred bubbles.[1][2] They have humanoid features and pale blue skin, and are said to lack true blood.[3] They travel by spinning their round, pot-like bodies, which are wrapped in white linens embroidered with rings. Their upper faces are veiled, hidden behind a soft bundle of densely wrapped cloth. No one knows what the fabric conceals, but some claim to hear faint whimpering from inside.[4][5][6]
Oracles are slow, easily bypassed creatures whose heavily telegraphed melee attacks deal respectable damage but are simple to stagger, especially in their smaller forms. They are far more dangerous at range, capable of summoning bubbles directly onto the player’s position—even through walls—and they rarely appear alone. Large Oracle Envoys hover briefly while blowing bubbles and wield their long weapon with surprising reach.[7] The Giant Oracle Envoy, found only in Miquella's Haligtree, is immobile mainly but unleashes continuous volleys of large bubbles. It can chain its melee attack by spinning around, sometimes leaping into the air to slam its fanned great horn down with tremendous force.[8][9]

Notes[]
- Four (4) Oracle Envoy spirits can be summoned for aid in battle by using the Oracle Envoy Ashes.
- The standard Oracle Envoys are noticeably smaller than the player character.
- Oracle Envoys at Leyndell, Royal Capital herald the renewal of Queen Marika the Eternal, the ascension of Ranni the Witch, the rise of the Lord of Frenzied Flame, or the return of Melina, depending on player choices. They also appear at Miquella's Haligtree to signal the second and eventual third bloom of Malenia, Goddess of Rot.
- Oracle Envoys failed to play for Miquella the Kind at Enir-Ilim and Mohgwyn Palace, tacitly confirming that his Age of Compassion will not come to fruition.
- Based on their shared use of bubble magic, the Oracle Envoys are most likely the same oracles sought by the claymen who once served the Ancient Dynasty. The Claymen cast blue Great Oracular Bubbles while the Giant Oracle Envoy casts Unique Skill: Great Oracular Bubble.[10]
- Oracle Envoys share many traits with the Crescent Moon-worshipping Albinaurics. However, they do not drop Albinauric Bloodclots.
- The Darkness garb for the Scholar conceals a second face on the back of his head, hinting at what might lie beneath the Envoy Crown.
- Tibia Mariners also blow long brass horns from a seated position.
Trivia[]
- Internally, these creatures are labeled as "MoonServants" followed by a Japanese word related to their appearance:
- Basic Oracle Envoys are called MoonServant_tibi, referring to a small child.
- Large Oracle Envoys are called MoonServant_noppo, referring to a tall or lanky person.
- Giant Oracle Envoys are called MoonServant_debu, meaning "fatso" or "chubby."
- A Tiny Oracle Envoy variant was cut from the game.
