Non-player Characters (NPCs) are characters in Elden Ring that can either oppose or help the Tarnished, and typically can be interacted with and offer dialogue.

The following is a list of the handful of crucial NPCs you should attempt to gain access to as early as possible to develop the powers of your character.

Smithing Master Hewg	Roundtable Hold	Provides high-level strengthening of your Armaments and duplicating Ashes of War. He will buy your unwanted items for runes
Sorceress Sellen	Waypoint Ruins	Offers training in new Sorceries.
Boc the Seamster	Near Gatefront	Provides Armor Adjustment services after a quest.
Patches	Murkwater Cave	Sells a critical item for defeating the first main boss
Twin Maiden Husks	Roundtable Hold	Sells items and accepts Bell Bearings.
Finger Reader Enia	Roundtable Hold	Trades boss items for Remembrances.
