Eventually, a Tarnished Champion entered Midra's manse to explore and loot it. Midra repeatedly tried to warn the Tarnished to leave, but his pleas went unheeded. Upon the Tarnished coming upon Midra's chambers, Midra chastised the Tarnished for their foolishneshs before attacking them, only be brutally beaten and subdued. Finally, Midra could endure his pain no more. He pulls the sword out through his head and decapitates himself. Then, he manifests as the Lord of Frenzied Flame. The branching arms of the sword coil tightly around its central needle.[4]

Boss Fight[]
Pre-Phase[]
You fight the feeble Lord. He is easily staggered and has low health compared to his actual fight, but can still prove dangerous with a scream AoE or grab attack if not dealt with quickly.
Phase One[]
He pulls his head off and gets a fireball head of Frenzied Flame. He deals madness and swings at the player with his Greatsword, often with a mix of quick or delayed attacks.
Phase Two[]
When Midra's health drops to about 65%, he will rise up above you and drop down for a massive explosion. After that, Midra will retain his original strings of attacks and will gain new ones that more frequently utilize madness.
Though Midra was able to endure the Unendurable Frenzy,[11] he had not suffered enough to reach his fullest potential.[12]
Trivia[]
This boss is likely inspired by the "Yellow King", a character created by Robert W. Chambers, appearing in his 1985 book of the same name as well as several short stories.
