Mending Runes are special Key Items in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Mending Runes are used to choose an "Elden Lord" ending at 
Fractured Marika after defeating the Elden Beast on the Stone Platform. Interacting with Marika and selecting a Mending Rune will end the game.
Within the story, Mending Runes represent new Great Runes designed to be embedded into the Elden Ring when it is reforged by the Elden Lord. Each Mending Rune redefines the Golden Order and ushers in the next age of the Lands Between.
There are three Mending Runes to collect:
- Mending Rune of Perfect Order – The rune discovered by Goldmask upon reaching enlightenment (Age of Order)
- Mending Rune of the Death-Prince – The rune produced by Fia, Deathbed Companion upon laying with Godwyn the Golden (Age of the Duskborn)
- Mending Rune of the Fell Curse – The fell rune gestated by Dung Eater, the hornless Omen (Blessing of Despair)
Notes[]
- The "Elden Lord" achievement can be unlocked without acquiring or using a Mending Rune to mend the Elden Ring. Doing so will establish an Age of Fracture.
