Mantle of Thorns is a sorcery spell in Shadow of the Erdtree. It is one of the thorn sorceries.
Description[]
Sorcery of those who abandoned the practice of incantations after devout faith rewarded them with only despair.
Covers the caster in impenetrable thorns grown from the Scadutree. Once covered, dodge rolls will damage enemies.
The image of the misshapen Scadutree is an edict:
Spurn all that exists.
Wound all that exists.
For we have been abandoned.

Guaranteed Drop: Shadow Keep
- After draining the water from the Shadow Keep Church District, defeat the Ulcerated Tree Spirit beside a large dead tree.
Effects[]
The caster is covered in thorns for 30 seconds. Performing a dodge roll will deal 87 Physical damage to enemies on contact.

- Costs
50 HP and applies 25 Blood Loss per cast. - Costs 9 FP per cast.
- Costs 22 Stamina per cast.
- Requires 1 Memory Slot to be equipped.
- This spell cannot be used while riding Torrent.
Boosting[]
- Old Lord's Talisman extends the duration from 30 to 39 seconds.
Strategies[]
- This spell provides a much higher bonus than expected when used in tandem with the Briar Set.
- Can be stacked with Electrocharge and Fire's Deadly Sin.
Trivia[]
- This thorn sorcery is not boosted by Alberich's Bracers, Alberich's Pointed Hat, Alberich's Robe, and Staff of the Guilty.
- This is the only thorn sorcery that does not deal Magic damage.
