Limveld is a region in Elden Ring Nightreign.

Overview[]

Limveld exists within the same universe as the Lands Between and shares a Roundtable Hold. It is the setting for Elden Ring Nightreign, which occurs in parallel to the events of Elden Ring after diverging during or after the Shattering.[1]

Limveld is influenced by the power of Runes and is home to colossal shadow giants and various Sites of Grace. It is currently under the rule of the Night Lord and threatened by the encroaching Night's Tide. A maiden enlists the Nightfarers to save the land from its impending doom.[2]

Shifting Earth[]

Main article: Shifting Earth

Shifting Earth events are semi-random Expedition modifiers that drastically alter the landscape of Limveld. Each one replaces part of the map with a sprawling new location filled with enemies, bosses, and valuable treasures. These changes are static and remain consistent across Expeditions.

Shifting Earth events are unlocked by defeating the Nightlords or by advancing select Remembrance quests. Once unlocked, they are cycled by defeating the Nightlords. Events persist for several runs before fading on their own, though they can also be skipped early by resting in the bed at the Roundtable Hold and choosing to pass time. The active event is displayed when launching an Expedition.

The four possible Shifting Earth events spawn the following locations:
