Leyndell, Ashen Capital is a legacy dungeon located in Altus Plateau. It is an altered form of Leyndell, Royal Capital which can be accessed after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade.
Overview[]
With the defeat of Maliketh, the Black Blade, the Rune of Death is unbound, and the Flame of Ruin burns away the impenetrable thorns blocking the entrance to the Erdtree.[1] The city of Leyndell is blanketed in thick ash, burying all but the tallest buildings. The Tarnished returns to the city after releasing the Rune of Death, finally able to approach the Erdtree and gain entry.
It is still possible to access the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds from this version of Leyndell. A manhole cover that was previously closed is now open, allowing for one to drop down into the sewers below.
