The Kindred of Rot or pests are enemies and optional bosses in Elden Ring.
Overview[]

Anthropomorphic, insectoid beings that emerged from the Swamp of Aeonia[1], they are forsaken servants and unwanted children of the new Goddess of Rot.[2][3] They are commonly found in places blighted by Scarlet Rot, such as Caelid and the Grand Cloister.

Variant Description[]
Fully grown pests found in Rot-infested areas. They wield glaives made from hard, sharpened shell, and can fire web-like threads from a distance. If Scarlet Rot or Poison is utilised near them, they receive a buff.

Variant Description[]
Fully-grown pests found in Rot-infested areas around the ancient Rauh Ruins and the Church of the Bud. They are colored pink to signify they have been embraced by Romina, Saint of the Bud. They wield glaives made from hard, sharpened shell, and can fire Pest Threads and Pest-Thread Spears from a distance. If Scarlet Rot or Poison is utilised near them, they receive a buff.

A pair of Kindred of Rot are fought as an optional duo boss at the end of Seethewater Cave at the base of Mt. Gelmir. They drop the Kindred of Rot's Exultation.Notes[]
- The pests at the Sellia Crystal Tunnel pray toward a statue of a woman.
- The pests at the Grand Cloister in the Lake of Rot pray toward the Scorpion's Stinger.
- The scarlet pests at the Rauh Ruins pray before a large, ancient statue of a woman.
- The pests loyal to Romina in Realm of Shadow are red,[4] while those abandoned by Malenia are pale.[5]
