Irina of Morne is an NPC character in Elden Ring. She is found on the Weeping Peninsula, south of the Bridge of Sacrifice.
Overview[]
Irina is the daughter of Edgar, castellan of Castle Morne. Her eyesight has been weak since birth[1], and she wears a blindfold around her eyes.
Irina lived in Castle Morne with her father, until the Misbegotten servants rebelled and overran the castle.[2] Edgar secreted Irina out of the castle[3], however the Misbegotten pursued her and killed her companions.[4]
Irina encounters a Tarnished at the Bridge of Sacrifice on the Weeping Peninsula, and petitions them to rescue her father from Castle Morne, handing them a letter to deliver to him.
The Tarnished travels to Castle Morne and passes the letter onto Edgar. Once the Leonine Misbegotten has been defeated, Edgar leaves the castle to reunite with his daughter, vowing to devote his remaining days to her.[5] However, by the time he reaches her location, Irina is already dead. Edgar swears vengeance on those responsible for her death, setting him on a path that eventually leads to his corruption by the Flame of Frenzy.[6]

Questline Progression[]
- Weeping Peninsula (near Bridge of Sacrifice)
- Irina can be found sitting on a rock near the Bridge of Sacrifice. Talk to her and accept her request to receive Irina's Letter.
- Castle Morne
- Find Castellan Edgar in Castle Morne and hand him Irina's Letter, before defeating the Leonine Misbegotten.
- Weeping Peninsula (near Bridge of Sacrifice)
- Return to Irina after delivering the letter to find her corpse. If you defeated the Leonine Misbegotten, Edgar will also be here.
- If you rested at a Site of Grace in Liurnia of the Lakes after receiving Irina's Letter, Irina will die even if you have not done the Castle Morne segment of the questline.
Notes[]
- Lightseeker Hyetta shares the same appearance and voice actor as Irina of Morne. She will only appear if Irina's questline has ended with her death at the hands of the Misbegotten. This suggests Hyetta is Irina, possibly after undergoing some form of resurrection or rebirth ritual, similar to Shabriri.
- Irina can be killed; however, this will prematurely end her questline and prevent Hyetta from appearing.
- Irina attacks by casting a weak spell resembling Rejection.

Introduction |
---|
Hello? Is somebody there? |
Might I bend your ear for a moment, please. |
My name is Irina. I've escaped from Castle Morne, to the south. |
The servants there...have rebelled. |
I-I can't be sure what it is; my eyesight's been weak since birth you see... |
But I swear I heard frightful howling from all over. |
My good father secreted me out the castle, |
but decided himself to stay. He says it's his duty, as commander. |
If talked to again |
I...I fear for father's life. |
The servants are full wroth. Filled with hatred for every one of us. |
They've since come for every one of the companions I escaped with. They haven't spared a soul. |
I fear it's no different at Castle Morne... |
Please, I implore you. |
Would you mind taking a letter to my father, at the castle? |
My sole wish is that he escape, even if his honour should be the price. |
Please...I just want him to be safe... |
"Refuse" |
I understand. |
I fear some of the castle's servants are still prowling nearby. |
Do take care on the road. I pray your journey comes to fruition. |
And if you happen to change your mind... |
Please come to see me again. |
If talked to again after refusing |
Hello? Is somebody there? |
Ah, you're the one from before, aren't you? |
Please, I implore you. |
Would you mind taking a letter to my father, at the castle? |
My sole wish is that he escape, even if his honour should be the price. |
Please...I just need him to be safe... |
"Deliver the letter" |
Thank you, dearly. |
Then please, take this. |
... |
Deliver it to my father, who remains in the castle, if you please. |
If talked to again after accepting |
Please, if you wouldn't mind. Deliver the letter to my father at the castle. |
He can be stubborn, but I'm sure he'll come around. |
If attacked |
Agh! |
What's happened to you? |
Please, you must stop this. |
If turned hostile |
Ah, why on earth? |
I do not wish to cause anyone harm. |
If the player is killed |
Oh, bless the stars. |
You've chosen to reconsider. |
Death |
Father... |
Please, be safe... |
