Did you mean..For the spell, seek Impenetrable Thorns (spell).

The thorns are impenetrable. A husk of the Erdtree's being; that spurns all that exists without.- Melina

The Impenetrable Thorns are objects in Elden Ring.

Overview[]

The impenetrable thorns of the Erdtree are a mantle of barbs that spurn all who approach,[1][2] preventing them from becoming Elden Lord.[3] They grew over the entrance to the Erdtree when Queen Marika shattered the Elden Ring.[4][5] The Impenetrable Thorns may only be removed by using the Giants' Flame at the Forge of the Giants to set the Erdtree ablaze—the first Cardinal Sin.[6][7]
