Grave Warden Duelist is an enemy and reoccurring boss in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
The Grave Warden Duelists are former gladiators who were exiled from the colosseum.[1] They wear bronze armor adorned with snakes, which are viewed as traitors to the Erdtree, and their audiences once delighted in seeing them beaten and battered.[2]
After their banishment, they became grave wardens, and can be found in catacombs. Some have been infected by the Scarlet Rot.
Some duelists, left particularly broken and maddened, are recruited to become Mad Pumpkin Heads.
Variant Description[]
Duelists that wield colossal axes, with heavy iron balls attached using iron chains.
There is a shadowy Grave Warden Duelist in the Sainted Hero's Grave, who can only be defeated if they are lured into a circle of light.

Variant Description[]
Axe-wielding Duelists who have been corrupted by Scarlet Rot, which has stained their armor red. Their helms are crowned with many snakes, and when they grab a foe the bronze snake coiled around their arms will come alive and bite them, inflicting Scarlet Rot. One can be found in the Consecrated Snowfield, north of Ordina, Liturgical Town.
