Grafted Scion is an enemy in Elden Ring.

Overview

Grotesque creatures grafted with many limbs, with youthful faces and silver hair. They are enshrouded in green cloaks, and wield ornamental straightswords and shields.

They appear to be products of Godrick's grafting technique, and the armaments they carry are symbolic of the golden lineage.

Background

A Grafted Scion encountered outside the Chapel of Anticipation. This is the first boss encountered in the game, however killing it is not mandatory. If the player is killed by the Grafted Scion, it will trigger a cutscene and move the player to the Stranded Graveyard.

If the Grafted Scion is not defeated during the first encounter, it is possible to return to defeat it by returning to the Chapel of Anticipation via one of the sending gates at The Four Belfries, at the cost of one Imbued Sword Key.
