Description[]
The storied sword of Castle Morne. A revenger's weapon, it is burdened with oceans of anger and regret. One of the legendary armaments.
A lone surviving champion from a country now vanished was so determined to continue fighting that he claimed the swords of an entire clan of warriors.
Unique Skill: Oath of Vengeance
Swear an oath upon the greatsword to avenge the clan, temporarily raising all attributes for a certain duration. While the oath's effects are active, poise will also be increased.

- The Attribute boosts from this weapon's unique skill, Oath of Vengeance, is especially useful early on, as it will boost your durability by increasing your Defense and HP, and also increase your Equip Load by roughly 8.0 (about 5.6 if accounting for the 70% threshold for Medium Load) letting you carry it easier.

- The Grafted Blade Greatsword is obtained upon defeating the Leonine Misbegotten at the Morne Moangrave behind Castle Morne at the southern tip of the Weeping Peninsula.

- This weapon does not accept weapon buffs.
- The Grafted Blade Greatsword is one of the nine Legendary Armaments.
- This is the renowned sword of Castle Morne mentioned by Castellan Edgar. He stresses that this sword must not fall into the hands of the Misbegotten.
- The fighting lion motif associated with the Golden Lineage appears on the guard, though this detail is difficult to see in-game.
- While the Dexterity scaling is a good bit stronger than expected it will only exceed the benefits of the Strength scaling when the final softcap of 80 (54 if using both hands) Strength is reached.
Trivia[]
- This weapon received several buffs in patch 1.04. Its base damage (+0) was increased from 157 to 162 and its guard rating increaed from 64/48/48/48/48/43 to 80/48/48/48/48/53.
- This is one of the earliest available Colossal Swords or Weapons and most likely the second acquired after the Zweihander, also found on the Weeping Peninsula.
The Chinese and Korean version 1.00 release of the game preserve a very different earlier draft of this item description, roughly translating to "A special greatsword created by joining together the swords of warriors who once served Godfrey. It is imbued with the power of the Rune of Grafting."[1]
