Version 1.00 was a Game Version of Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Released on February 25, 2022, alongside the game itself, Version 1.00 was the initial retail build of Elden Ring and was only distributed on physical media. It is accessible exclusively by installing and playing the disc version of the game without an internet connection.
This version is notable for its many differences compared to later updates. It contains alternate icons, textures, dialogue, item descriptions, unused items, and different enemy placements. Several unseen characters were removed entirely, while others—such as the Gloam-Eyed Queen—were expanded upon in subsequent updates.
While much of the removed content supplements the final story without contradiction, some elements diverge significantly and may no longer be considered canonical.
