FromSoftware is a Japanese video game development company. Headquartered in Tokyo, Japan, founded in November 1986. It is best known for creating the Dark Souls series, Bloodborne, and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice. They are currently developing Elden Ring.
In April 2014, Kadokawa Corporation announced that it wanted to purchase the company from Transcosmos. The deal was finalized in May 2014. In December 2015, FromSoftware was nominated for developer of the year at The Game Awards 2015, but lost to CD Projekt Red.
