Flame Sling is an incantation spell in Elden Ring. It is one of the Flame incantations.
Description[]
Incantation originating from a sinister prophecy.
Throws a ball of raging fire. Charging enhances potency and causes the ball of fire to explode.
The flame of ruin is anathema to the Erdtree. But prophets sometimes glimpse it within the faith all the same. Sadly, when this occurs their sole reward is banishment.

Effects[]
Fling a small ball of fire with Fire Attack Power equal to 202% of Incantation Scaling.
Charging the spell increases the Attack Power to 255% of Incantation Scaling.

- Costs 22 points of Stamina to cast. Charging the spell increases Stamina cost to 29 points.
- Requires 1 Memory Slot.
- Deals 5 Stance damage. Charging the spell increases Stance damage to 9.25.
Boosting[]
- Fire Scorpion Charm increases Fire Attack Power by 12% (8% in PvP).
- Flame, Grant Me Strength increases Fire Attack Power by 20% (15% in PvP) for 30 seconds as a Body Buff.
- Flame-Shrouding Cracked Tear increases Fire Attack Power by 20% (15% in PvP) for 3 minutes.
- Attack Power is boosted by 15% by the Godfrey Icon.
- Since charging the spell already increases Attack Power by 26%, this increases the Attack Power by a total of 45%.
- Although this spell utilizes the Giants' Flame, its power is not boosted by the Giant's Seal.
Strategies[]
- An easy to use spell with very early availability that'll provide very good damage throughout the game.
- Doesn't hold up as well late game since more damaging spells such as Giantsflame Take Thee and Black Flame (especially the latter's maximum HP-based bonus burn damage) will be more useful when FP isn't as precious and kill speed becomes more important.
Trivia[]
- Like Catch Flame and Fire's Deadly Sin, this incantation does not produce a spell sigil when cast, indicating that it technically doesn't belong to the Giants' Flame subtype and isn't boosted by the Giant's Seal.
- Brother Corhyn was one of the prophets exiled for glimpsing the forbidden flame of ruin, a transgression that led to banishment.[1]
- Flame Sling was formerly known as "Feast Upon Flame" during the Closed Network Test.
- Similar to the Fireball spell from the Dark Souls franchise.
- Patch 1.07: Increased attack power when charged.
- The Attack Power of the charged version was increased from 240% of Incantation Scaling to 255% of the same.
