| For Elden Ring, seek Endings. |
This page provides an overview of the endings to Elden Ring Nightreign. There are four ways to conclude the game: The Dawn, The Endless Night, The New Night, and The Night of Love.
Overview[]
Just like in Elden Ring, the player decides the fate of the Lands Between upon completing the game. There are three secret endings tied to specific Nightfarers, unlocked after progressing their Remembrance Quests.
The endgame sequence plays every time the Nightfarers clear the Night Aspect Expedition by defeating Heolstor the Nightlord, claiming the Primordial Nightlord's Rune. The Night recedes, revealing a memory version of the Roundtable Hold where the Primordial Nightlord sits shriveled and inert.
List of Endings[]
The Dawn[]
This is the default ending, available to all Nightfarers. The player returns to the Roundtable Hold and offers the Primordial Nightlord's Rune to a shriveled corpse, causing the rune to disintegrate. Soon after, all Nightfarers dissolve into Grace and scatter to return to their true bodies.
The Night is undone, and the Lands Between are restored to their natural state, with the Erdtree reappearing. A colossal giant is also animated by the Grace of Gold. This entity resembles an enormous Heolstor formed of wood and covered in fingerprints. Upon rising, the giant surveys the Lands Between, refuses the call of Grace, and departs into the sea.
The Endless Night[]
This is the Ironeye’s secret ending. Upon completing all of his Remembrance quests and defeating Heolstor, Ironeye returns to the Roundtable Hold and confronts the shriveled corpse. Rather than offer the Primordial Nightlord's Rune to dispel the Night, he slays the corpse, thereby condemning the Lands Between to eternal darkness.
Following this act, cold ghostflame manifests within Ironeye’s right eye.
The New Night[]
This is the Wylder’s secret ending. Upon completing all of his Remembrance quests and defeating Heolstor, Wylder uses the Silver Tear to rebirth into Heolstor’s body. He becomes the new Nightlord and perpetuates the Cycle of Night.
The Night of Love[]
This is Recluse’s ending. Upon completing all of her Remembrance quests and defeating Heolstor, Recluse returns to the Roundtable Hold. There she hears the cries of an infant. Rather than approach the shriveled corpse, she follows the sound to the bed quarters where she discovers the Infant. She takes the child into her arms as the game ends, leaving the final outcome uncertain.
After the end of Expedition summary, the Witch of the Wheel offers her thanks where the Infant was embraced.
Notes[]
- The hidden Wylder ending requires the Silver Tear to be equipped to the active Chalice.
- The Witch of the Wheel post-game interaction cannot be repeated.[verification needed]
Trivia[]
- Unlike in Elden Ring, players have only four options (and not six) to conclude the game in Elden Ring Nightreign.
