None may claim the title of Elden Lord. Thy deeds shall be met with failure, just as I.- Morgott, the Omen King

The Elden Throne is a Site of Grace located within the Lands Between in Elden Ring.

Overview[]

The Elden Throne is the seat of the Elden Lord, the highest power in the Lands Between. It is a small court with a number of wood thrones on a platform connected to the Erdtree's entrance. These seats were once filled by the Demigods before their alliance crumbled in the wake of the Shattering. Only Morgott remains faithful to Queen Marika the Eternal.[citation needed]

The Elden Throne Site of Grace is unlocked after the boss has been defeated.

After Morgott is defeated, his curse if lifted and he reverts to an enfeebled human form. He reveals that the Erdtree's Impenetrable Thorns block the way inside, preventing even he from rising as Elden Lord.[citation needed]

Melina appears at the Site of Grace to offer a new quest: journey to the Forge of the Giants and use the Giants' Flame to ignite the Erdtree.[citation needed]

After the first cardinal sin has been committed, the area transforms into Leyndell, Ashen Capital. The Elden Throne Site of Grace is once again locked until Hoarah Loux, Warrior is defeated. The impenetrable thorns will be burned away, allowing access to the Stone Platform.[citation needed]
