Dragonfire is an incantation spell in Elden Ring. It is one of the Dragon Communion Incantations.
Description[]
One of the incantations of Dragon Communion.
Transforms caster into a dragon to spew flaming breath. Charging extends duration.
Incantation of those who have hunted dragons and feasted upon their hearts. Theirs is a pure and overwhelming power.
Acquisition[]
Dragon Communion: Limgrave / Caelid / Jagged Peak
- Acquired from the altar at the Church of Dragon Communion in Limgrave, the Cathedral of Dragon Communion in Caelid, or the Grand Altar of Dragon Communion on the Jagged Peak for 1 Dragon Heart.
Effects[]
Creates a dragon head before breathing out a wave of flames, dealing Fire damage equal to 144% of Incantation Scaling up to 3 times (i.e., 432% of the same cumulatively) if the entire wave hits.
Continue channeling the spell to let loose a second breath, also hitting up to 3 times.
Notes[]
- Costs 40 points of Stamina to cast, with an additional 40 points required upon using the follow-up breath.
- Damage is boosted by 10% by the Roar Medallion.
- Damage is boosted by 15% per Dragon Communion Seal held in an active hand (2 max).
- Damage is boosted by 20% when the Rock Heart is used.
- Can be cast while mounted but cannot be cast midair, unlike Agheel's Flame.
- Compared to Agheel's Flame, this spell deals 15% less damage but also consumes 30% less FP.
- Casting this spell until it stops costs 104 FP: 2*28 FP from the two breaths and 12*4 FP from keeping the spell running.
- Only 53 FP is actually needed for the entire routine. This is just enough to start the second breath, and thereafter the game does not care that no FP remains, as it will continue casting regardless.
- This is the second strongest "default" dragon breath attack, dealing 9% less damage than Glintstone Breath if an enemy's Fire Damage Negation and Magic Damage Negation are equal.
- Deals 20% less damage against other players.
Trivia[]
- Patch 1.07 decreased the power of the following incantations in PvP.
- The multiplier for damage against other players was lowered from 100% to 80%.
