Draconic Tree Sentinel is a recurring field boss in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Misshapen Tree Sentinels using a malformed golden armor adorned with various dragon imagery.
After the great ancient dragon Gransax attacked, the sentinels had an epiphany. The only way to truly protect the Erdtree was to become dragons themselves. [1]
Their hammer attacks can be parried.
Their Honed Bolt-like overhead lightning strike has some unusual characteristics. It's unblockable (in fact, blocking will cause the character to take more damage as knockback is prevented and all 3 individual bolts of the attack will land) and cannot hit characters standing under the Sentinel's shield.

Notes[]
- Even though the fog wall at the first encounter only disappears once the Draconic Tree Sentinel is defeated, the boss can be skipped by taking the gateway portal at the Prince of Death's Throne in Deeproot Depths. Oddly enough, you can not step through the fog wall from inside of the capital.
