Demi-Human Swordmaster Onze is an optional boss in Shadow of the Erdtree. He is encountered at the Belurat Gaol.
Background[]
In a bygone era, when beasts were granted intelligence,[1][2] the demi-human swordsmen were bequeathed Star-Lined Swords by their queens.[3] Their royal blades were encrusted with shards of crude glintstone, symbolizing the procession of the stars.[4] Each swordsman swore an oath to unveil the secret that awaited at the end of the line of stars.
Onze was a master swordsman who devoted himself to the Star-Lined Sword.[5] When Onze realized that only ruin awaited at the end, he imprisoned himself in order to forestall it.[5] His devoted apprentice, Yosh, defied him and spent the remainder of his days in hermitage by his side.[6]
Appearance[]
Onze is an elderly demi-human swordsmen, small in stature with mottled, pale skin. He wears a filthy loincloth and a tattered cape clasped with rope. He has five fingers. His milky eyes are fully clouded over and thin wisps of white hair hang from his scalp and chin. Despite his withered appearance, he is nimble and deadly with his magical sword.

| Onze's Line of Stars | Imbues sword with magic to extend its reach before slashing twice. Extends sword further and slashes twice again with a brief delay. Then, leaps upward and slams sword downward. Deals Slashing and Magic damage. |
| Parry | Enters a defensive stance. If an attack is blocked, will dash to the side and perform a double slash. Invulnerable during dash. Deals Slashing damage. |
| Uppercut Slash | Slashes horizontally, sidesteps, slashes vertically, and then backflips away. Deals Slashing damage. |
