Map of the Deeproot Depths

An enormous cavern at the roots of the Erdtree, the Deeproot Depths is the source of the Ainsel and Siofra rivers. The network of Greattree roots that spread throughout the Lands Between also begins here.[1] Below the Sites of Grace Prince of Death's Throne, a nameless Eternal City lies in ruins, with many of its buildings sinking into a mire of milky liquid. In the northwestern area, a Wandering Mausoleum prowls, surrounded by Mausoleum Soldiers and Knights. To the far west, Siluria, one of the two leaders of the Crucible Knights, awaits at the stump of a dead tree.

Background[]

The Nameless Eternal City was destroyed by Astel, Naturalborn of the Void long ago.[2][3]

After Godwyn the Golden was murdered on the Night of Black Knives, his body was buried in the Erdtree's roots.[4] His malformed body, corrupted by Death, can be found to the north of the cavern. It is here that Fia resides after fleeing Roundtable Hold.

Sites of Grace[]

Connected areas[]

This area can be reached by either defeating the Valiant Gargoyle duo boss in Siofra Aqueduct or by finding an illusory wall at the bottom of the Frenzied Flame Proscription, found behind a movable wall guarded by Mohg, the Omen at the bottom of the Subterranean Shunning-Grounds.

An abandoned coffin found along the southwestern shore of the shallow body of water allows travel to Ainsel River Main, the northern part of Ainsel River.
