Long ago, before the land was overshadowed by invasion, this scourge was shunned, and the curseblades were imprisoned. It was during this confinement that Meera met Labirith, and upon her death, Labirith was plunged into a devastating darkness.Curseblade Meera

Curseblade Labirith is an optional boss in Shadow of the Erdtree.

Background[]

An ascetic of the tower, Labirith renounced mortal comfort and trained her body through harsh discipline to ascend as a tutelary deity.[1] She donned a masked crown of tangled horns to heighten her spirituality and dampen her focus, enabling the Divine Beast to take hold.[2] She performed crazed, ritualistic dances using circular backhand blades with sharp, wave-like pointed edges, spilling her own blood in frantic spiritual fervor.[3][4]

The other hornsent disdained and shunned the Curseblades as a scourge. Labirith's own people captured her and sealed her deep in the freezing Bonny Gaol among the jars, where she ultimately failed to become a tutelary deity. In this subterranean prison, she met Curseblade Meera. When Meera died, Labirith fell into a devastating darkness.[5]

  2. Curseblade Mask: "A mask affixed with a crown of tangled horns, worn by those who would invoke divinity. 3. Curseblade Cirque: "Weapon of the masked Curseblades. Circular backhand blade with wave-like cutting edges, sharpened into points that incite blood loss. Long ago, this was employed by the ascetics who strove to become tutelary deities as a ritualistic object in their self-flagellating dances."

  5. Curseblade Meera: "Curseblades appear to dance when they spin their shimmering circular blades. These ascetics, who failed to become tutelary deities, were a scourge for those who attempted to invade the hornsent homeland. Long ago, before the land was overshadowed by invasion, this scourged was shunned, and the curseblades were imprisoned. It was during this confinement that Meera met Labirith, and upon her death, Labirith was plunged into a devastating darkness."
