Crumbling Farum Azula is a subregion of the Lands Between in Elden Ring legacy dungeon is accessible after burning the Erdtree at the Forge of the Giants found on Flame Peak in the Mountaintops of the Giants .

Farum Azula is a giant temple in the sky, located above the sea to the east of the Lands Between . Once a royal city of the Ancient Dragons and the seat of the Dragonlord Placidusax , Farum Azula has been crumbling since time immemorial.[ 1] Beastmen , who wield weapons clad in Red Lightning .[ 2] god .[ 3]
In Farum Azula, many Ancient Dragons can be found buried in the rock, between the catacombs of the Beastmen and the surface of the city, their bodies still filled with gold.[ 4] [ 5]
As well as Beastmen, Farum Azula is still home to a number of Ancient Dragons , who roost on the floating fragments of the city. There is also a population of Wormfaces dwelling in one of the lower levels of the city. It appears that Deathroot has spread throughout parts of the city as well.
Farum Azula is the dwelling place of Maliketh, the Black Blade , the protector of the Rune of Death . It is here that the Tarnished finds themselves after the Erdtree is set aflame, and where they finally unbind the Rune of Death, releasing it upon the Lands Between.
