Chapel of Anticipation is a location in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Chapel of Anticipation is the first location the player encounters when they begin the game. It consists of a small chapel, a wide-open courtyard, and crumbling path. In order to leave this location, the player needs to either be killed by the Grafted Scion that attacks upon entering the courtyard, or fall off the cliff. Upon doing so, the player will encounter Melina and Torrent for the first time, and wake up in the Stranded Graveyard.
The player may return to the area later via a Sending Gate in The Four Belfries in Liurnia of the Lakes, located at the Belfry with the hint "Precipice of Anticipation". Upon returning, a door at the side of the chapel will now be unlocked, allowing the player to pick up Stormhawk Deenh and The Stormhawk King.
