Chalices, also known as Vessels, are Items in Elden Ring Nightreign.
Overview[]
Chalices are vessels used at the Relic Rites station to equip three Relics. Their slots are color-coded and only accept Relics of the same color. However, white-colored slots accept any color Relic. Additional Chalices are unlocked by completing Remembrance Quests or purchased from the Small Jar Bazaar.
The vessel slots are color-coded by their Characteristic:
- Red slots equip red Relics, such as Burning Scenes.
- Green slots equip green Relics, such as Tranquil Scenes.
- Blue slots equip blue Relics, such as Drizzly Scenes.
- Yellow slots equip yellow Relics, such as Luminous Scenes.
- White slots equip any standard Relic.
Slots 1, 2, and 3 accept standard Relics. Slots 4, 5, and 6 accept Depths Relics and only activate during the Deep of Night.
List of Chalices[]
Notes[]
- Grails only accept Relics of a single characteristic and can be simultaneously assigned to multiple Nightfarers.
- Depths Relic slots unlock after completing the Deep of Night Expedition for the first time. Relics assigned to these slots do not provide their bonuses during other Expeditions.
- Sealed Urns use the same relic color combination as normal urns but with a different slot order, allowing players to adjust which effect takes priority without changing their overall build.
Trivia[]
- In the Japanese script, the Spirit Shelter Grail is instead called the 霊樹の聖杯 (Reiju no Seihai), lit. Spirit Tree Grail, while the Giant's Cradle Grail is the 巨人樹の聖杯 (Kyojinju no Seihai), lit. Giant Tree Grail, matching the format of the Sacred Erdtree Grail's Japanese name, 黄金樹の聖杯 (Ougonju no Seihai).
- It is likely that 霊樹 (Reiju) refers to the spectral tree which enwraps the Spirit Shelter, and possibly that 巨人樹 (Kyojinju) refers to the shadowy giants with tree-like bodies that can be seen from the second Noontide; the Giant's Cradles all-blue slot configuration may reference the glowing blue branches seen within the bodies of these creatures.[1]
