Castle Morne is a location within the Lands Between in Elden Ring}.
Overview[]
Castle Morne is a heavily fortified castle that rises from the southern tip of the Weeping Peninsula. The castle once belonged to the Stormveil faction that opposed the Erdtree. In the past, this castle was the site of a battle between Godfrey, First Elden Lord and a lone revenger, which is commemorated by a Sword Monument nearby. The revenger collected the swords of his fallen clan and reforged them into the Grafted Blade Greatsword.[1][2] Though he was ultimately defeated by Queen Marika's Elden Lord, the sword became a treasure of the keep.[3]
After the Shattering, this fortification was under the control of Godrick the Grafted, a distant scion of the Golden Lineage, who ruled Limgrave from Stormveil Castle. He appointed Castellan Edgar to oversee the castle; however, by the time the player arrives, it has been overrun by rebellious Misbegotten servants.[4] Edgar's blind daughter, Irina of Morne, fled the castle, but her Great Coffin escort was overtaken by Misbegotten on the road near the Bridge of Sacrifice. Edgar is bound to maintain his post until the sword of Morne is reclaimed from the Leonine Misbegotten.[5]
