Castellan Edgar is an NPC and invader in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Edgar is the warden of Castle Morne, a duty entrusted to him by Godrick the Grafted, who currently presides over Limgrave. Edgar lived in Castle Morne with his daughter, Irina, until the Misbegotten servants rebelled and overran the castle[1], stealing the treasured sword of Castle Morne in the process[2]. Irina escaped along with a number of other inhabitants of the castle, but Edgar remained behind to combat the Misbegotten.
The Tarnished arrives at Castle Morne at the behest of Irina[3], and defeats the Misbegotten rebels, reclaiming the Grafted Blade Greatsword in the process. Edgar leaves the castle to seek out his daughter, only to find that she has already been killed.
Edgar succumbs to madness[4], and is next encountered by the Tarnished at the Revenger's Shack in Liurnia of the Lakes as an invader. Upon his death, Edgar leaves behind a Shabriri Grape, the eyeball of one consumed by frenzy.

Questline Progression[]
- Castle Morne
- Edgar can be found atop a tower in Castle Morne. Showing him Irina's Letter will prompt him to tell you about the sword stolen by the Misbegotten. This will also make him available as a summonable ally against the Leonine Misbegotten boss.
- Castle Morne
- After defeating the Leonine Misbegotten, return to Edgar and exhaust his dialogue.
- Weeping Peninsula (near Bridge of Sacrifices)
- Edgar will be standing over Irina's body. Exhaust his dialogue.
- If the player killed Irina, Edgar will be hostile.
- Liurnia of the Lakes (Revenger's Shack)
- Edgar will invade as Edgar the Revenger, as you approach the shack.
Notes[]
- Several Misbegotten corpses can be found close to the Revenger's Shack, implying that Edgar killed them for their part in Irina's death.
