The Capital Outskirts are connected to the Altus Plateau and Leyndell, Royal Capital.
Leyndell, the city of the Erdtree, is a metropolis enclosed by double ramparts. The land surrounding the capital proper, within the outer wall, comprises the Capital Outskirts. During The Shattering, the Outskirts were ravaged by war, and the battlegrounds are still strewn with corpses. Wooden trebuchets lie in ruins, amidst abandoned encampments, and giant censers can be seen protruding from the ground.
