Caelid Colosseum

The Caelid Colosseum is a Location in Elden Ring.

Overview[]

An old Colosseum located in northern Caelid, accessed from the Siofra River via the Deep Siofra Well, then traveling north through a ravine. The path is guarded by massive Guardian Golem Archers who fire blue Golem's Magic Arrows.

This arena once hosted gladiatorial combat in honor of the Erdtree during the reign of Lord Godfrey. It was closed during the time of Lord Radagon, and its Duelists were exiled.^{[citation needed]}. However, it is possible that either the colosseum of Caelid managed to remain open or that General Radahn revived the practice of gladiators' fights, since Redmane Freyja was once a gladiator herself and was chosen by Radahn after witnessing her valor in the arena^[1].

The towering Great Jar stands before the arena. Various Knights of the Great Jar may be challenged via red Duelist summon signs. Defeat three champions without dying to unlock the door to the Caelid Colosseum. Interact with the statue of Marika to unlock the activity.

Colosseum PvP[]

Online player-vs-player battles at the Caelid Colosseum allow the use of Spirit Ashes. All three game modes are available:

Combat Ordeal – Timed free-for-all deathmatch
Duel Mode – One-on-one duel; no respawns
United Combat – Timed team deathmatch

Interacting with the Marika statue for the first time also unlocks the activity queue at the Roundtable Hold.
When playing online, the pregenerated Knights of the Great Jar are replaced with computer-controlled copies of random players.

Trivia[]

The colosseum interior was inaccessible prior to the December 7th, 2022 update. The door could not be opened in earlier versions of the game.
