Brother Corhyn is an NPC in Elden Ring. He can be given prayerbooks in exchange for access to an array of Incantations.

Overview

Brother Corhyn is a cleric of the Golden Order. At some point, Corhyn made his way to Roundtable Hold, where he teaches the incantations of the Two Fingers to Tarnished of the Roundtable, hoping that one of them might one day claim the title of Elden Lord, so that Corhyn might council them. When a Tarnished champion makes their way to the Roundtable, Corhyn introduces himself to them, and offers his tutelage. Corhyn will even teach the champion heretical incantations, from outside the line of the Erdtree, though he does so reluctantly.

After the Tarnished champion opens the way to the Altus Plateau, Corhyn announces that he is departing the Roundtable to search for the legendary Goldmask, an eminent scholar of the Golden Order. While searching for Goldmask, Corhyn continues his own investigations into the nature of the Golden Order, and while he makes some advancements, he also becomes aware of how little he truly knows. With guidance from the Tarnished champion, Corhyn is united with Goldmask.

Corhyn takes it upon himself to become Goldmask's disciple and to chronicle his wisdom, deciphering the meaning behind every minute movement made by the mute Goldmask. The process goes well, until Goldmask's movements suddenly cease, as he is confounded by the nature of Radagon. The Tarnished champion may solve the riddle, revealing to Goldmask that Radagon and Queen Marika the Eternal are in fact one and the same, allowing Corhyn to continue his work.

Goldmask leads his disciple to the Forbidden Lands and the Mountaintops of the Giants, where none may tread. Corhyn continues his duty, but begins to doubt his master. He detects in his movements that Goldmask has begun to suspect the holism of the Golden Order, an unacceptable heresy in Corhyn's mind. Corhyn continues to serve his master, but is tormented by doubt.

After the Tarnished champion unleashes the flame of the giants to burn the Erdtree, Corhyn is found in the ashen ruins of Leyndell, Royal Capital. Corhyn denounces his master as nothing more than a madman, who rejected the perfection of the Golden Order and sought to replace it with his own "perfected" order. As the Erdtree burns above him, Corhyn loses his mind. Alternatively, Corhyn may be offered the Tonic of Forgetfulness, causing him to remain in the Mountaintops, seemingly unaware that Goldmask has returned to Leyndell.

Questline Progression

1. Roundtable Hold
   • Corhyn can be found in the central chamber of Roundtable Hold, where he will offer to teach you several Incantations. His shop inventory can be increased by giving him prayerbooks.
2. Roundtable Hold
   • After reaching Altus Plateau, Corhyn will express an interest in searching for Goldmask.
3. Altus Plateau
   • Corhyn can be found near the Altus Highway Site of Grace.
   • Talking to him here after finding Goldmask will allow you to reveal Goldmask's location to him.
4. Altus Plateau (Forest-Spanning Greatbridge)
   • Corhyn will now appear next to Goldmask. The pair will now travel together.
5. Leyndell, Royal Capital
   • Corhyn and Goldmask can be found near the colosseum. Corhyn will express frustration at Goldmask's current obsession with Radagon.
   • After using Law of Regression in front of the Radagon statue past the lift near Erdtree Sanctuary, talk to Goldmask to reveal Radagon's secret and then talk to Corhyn.
6. Mountaintops of the Giants
   • Corhyn and Goldmask will move to the bridge south of Stargazer's Ruins. Corhyn can be offered the Tonic of Forgetfulness, which will affect the end of his questline.
   • If offered the Tonic of Forgetfulness, Corhyn will remain in this location after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade after Goldmask leaves. After reloading the area, he will have disappeared, leaving behind his flail, robe, and bell bearing.
7. Leyndell, Ashen Capital
   • If Corhyn was not offered the Tonic of Forgetfulness, he will appear in Leyndell, Ashen Capital, close to the giant Bolt of Gransax after defeating Maliketh, the Black Blade. After exhausting his dialogue and resting at a Site of Grace, he will be gone.

Notes

• Corhyn will refuse to take the Tonic of Forgetfulness if offered to him and it will remain in your inventory. Despite this, the act of offering it to him will influence the outcome of his questline. This choice will not affect the outcome of Goldmask's questline, however.
