Bloodstained Dagger is a dagger found in Elden Ring.

Description[]

Dagger with a bloodstained blade. Afflicts targets with blood loss.

As blood darkened the dagger through repeated slashing and stabbing, its blade only grew sharper and harder.

Acquisition[]

  • 2% drop rate from Fierce Demi-Humans aka Demi-Human Chiefs.
    • One can point asleep next to the bridge west of the South of the Lookout Tower Site of Grace.

Notes[]

  • Strong Strength- and Arcane-scaling.
    • Surpasses all daggers except the rather unusual Wakizashi for raw damage on a Heavy affinity and has the highest Strength-scaling of them all, just short of an S-rating.
    • Second or third strongest dagger on the Occult affinity, though it will only slightly outmatch the Reduvia (only by 1 point) and the latter will have more Blood Loss build-up.
    • Pairs well with the extra status build-up from Cold and Occult affinities: the former for the added Frostbite build-up and the latter for the added scaling to the Blood Loss build-up.
    • Despite this its Heavy affinity actually gives it slightly weaker Strength-scaling for "bullet"-type (i.e. doesn't scale directly with the used weapon's damage) Skills with a Heavy, Quality, or Fire affinity, giving them usually about 2% less damage than they otherwise would have. This includes, as an example, the skills Ground Slam, Storm Blade, and Flame of the Redmanes (these skills however perform as normal on any affinity besides Heavy).
  • The innate Blood Loss build-up scales with any Arcane-scaling granted by affinities (Poison, Blood, and Occult).
    • While the Blood affinity grants the exact same amount of build-up and scaling as with any other dagger, it does cause the Blood Loss procs to deal an extra 100 flat damage.
  • The only dagger with a Strength focus on its Cold affinity instead of a Dexterity focus.


Upgrade Information[]

  • Upgraded with regular Smithing Stones.
  • Can have its Affinity and Skill changed.
  • All non-physical Affinities lower all types of guarded damage negation by 5%, except for the associated element where the damage negation increases by 25% and another element also increases by 15%.
    • Magic negation receives the secondary 15% negation bonus on Sacred and Cold affinities, Fire negation gets the increase on Lightning affinity, Lightning negation gets the increase on Fire and Flame Art affinities, and Holy negation gets the increase on Magic affinity.
  • The upper number in the Atk column denotes Physical base damage while the lower, colored number in the Atk column denotes elemental base damage: red for Fire damage, yellow for Lightning damage, orange for Holy damage, and cyan for Magic damage.
