Bloodhound Knight is an enemy in Elden Ring.
Overview[]
Bloodhound Knights are trained as hunters and are known to be unshakable trackers. Without the use of language, they choose their own master which they will stay loyal to for the rest of their life.[1]
They wield a Bloodhound's Fang alongside a Bloodhound Claw that allows them to slip past enemy's guard. They use the Ash of War: Bloodhound's Step to either move out of harm's way or to quickly close the gap between them and their opponent.
Lesser variants can be found as non-respawning enemies guarding corpses in the overworld. One is found atop a wall near the gate past the Isolated Merchant at Academy of Raya Lucaria, another is in one of the rooms past the illusory wall in Volcano Manor, a third is guarding Eternal Darkness in Swamp Lookout Tower atop the gate wall near Sellia, Town of Sorcery, and a fourth is guarding the Gelmir Knight Set inside of Gelmir Hero's Grave in a room reached by dropping onto rafters below the Chariot's path.
Bosses[]
Background[]
A traitorous Bloodhound Knight hiding within an evergaol cell, and is sought out by Blaidd the Half-Wolf.[2]
Strategies[]
While Darriwil has a very low amount of HP, even for being found this early in the game, his aggressive nature and weirdly delayed jump attacks and dragging charges can be rather difficult to read.
Summoning[]
Summoning Blaidd the Half-Wolf (only possible after having used the Finger Snap gesture to speak with him at Mistwood Ruins) and letting him take on the brunt of the boss's attacks, while occasionally sneaking in a jumping attack, is a very efficient way to kill this knight.
Background[]
A Bloodhound Knight posted by the exit of the Lakeside Crystal Cave. It appears to be guarding the location of Latenna the Albinauric, though it's unknown as to whether this is to protect her or to force her to stay until the location of the Haligtree Secret Medallion (Right) has been revealed.- ↑ Bloodhound Knight Set
