Notes[]
- While its Faith-scaling is technically the strongest its Dexterity-scaling is effectively almost equal to it because the dagger's Physical base Attack Power is higher than its Holy base Attack Power.
- An equal split between Dexterity and Faith will give the most Attack Power (AP), though a pure Dexterity build or a pure Faith build will get only about 5% less AP.
- Since the skill scales with weapon upgrade level and Faith but not Dexterity or Strength, it can be beneficial to lean into the pure Faith build, or even a 45/45 or 30/60 Dex/Fth split.
- A pure Faith (80) build gives 1138 Holy Attack Power, 13% more Attack Power on the skill than hybrid Dexterity/Faith (45/45) build's 1010 Holy Attack Power and 5.5% more Attack Power than the skill of a Faith-leaning Dexterity/Faith (30/60) build's 1079 Holy Attack Power.
- Unfortunately generally outclassed by the Black Knife. While this weapon is 0.5 units lighter, has better scaling, and its skill deals more outright damage at a lower FP cost, the Black Knife will always have more AP due to higher base Attack Power, is attainable much earlier in the game, and the skill is often more damaging due to part of its damage being percentage-based.
- Has a unique double-hitting heavy attack shared with the Black Knife, Erdsteel Dagger, and Fire Knight's Shortsword.
- This unique attack grants 4 points towards the scaling of the Winged Sword Insignias instead of the usual 2 due to hitting twice.
Upgrade Information[]
- Upgraded with Somber Smithing Stones.
- Cannot have its Affinity and Skill changed.
- The upper number in the Atk column denotes Physical base Attack Power while the lower, colored number in the Atk column denotes elemental base Attack Power: red for Fire Attack Power, yellow for Lightning Attack Power, orange for Holy Attack Power, and cyan for Magic Attack Power.
- See the Weapon Scaling page for what the scaling values mean.
