Bestial Sling

Bestial Sling is an incantation spell in Elden Ring. It is one of the Bestial Incantations.

Description[]

Incantation taught by Gurranq, the Beast Clergyman.
Swiftly flings a number of sharp rock shards. This incantation can be cast without delay after performing another action.
It is said that in the time before the Erdtree, stones were the first weapons of the beasts who had gained intelligence.

Bestial Sling is rewarded from Gurranq after giving him the second Deathroot.

Effects[]

Throw out a fistful of stone shards with Standard Attack Power equal to 87% of Incantation Scaling.

Hits twice at melee range.

Boosting[]

Bloodboil Aromatic increases Physical Attack Power by 30% (20% in PvP) for 60 seconds as a Body Buff.
Blue Dancer Charm increases Physical Attack Power by up to 15% at low carried Equip Load values.
Cinquedea increases Attack Power by 10% when held in an active hand, and by 21% when wielded in each hand (stacks with Clawmark Seal).
Clawmark Seal increases Attack Power by 10% when held in an active hand, and by 21% when wielded in each hand (stacks with Cinquedea).
Exalted Flesh increases Physical Attack Power by 20% (15% in PvP) for 30 seconds as a Body Buff.
Flame, Grant Me Strength increases Physical Attack Power by 20% (15% in PvP) for 30 seconds as a Body Buff.
Uplifting Aromatic increases Physical Attack Power 10% (7.5% in PvP) for 40 seconds as an Aura Buff.
Range is slightly increased by the Arrow's Reach Talisman, decreasing damage fall-off.

Strategies[]

Has Attack Power equal to 174% of Incantation Scaling (not accounting for flat defence) at melee (Daggers) range due to hitting twice there.
Deals pretty low damage but is excellent for harassing passive or low-health enemy players.
Since it casts so quickly it can easily be spammed against an opponent to force them on the back foot.

Trivia[]

Used by Gurranq, Beast Clergyman.
Patch 1.12 (PvP-Exclusive Balance Adjustments): Decreased poise damage.
- Poise damage against other players was decreased from 54 to 26.
Patch 1.08: Reduced the poise damage of the Incantation Bestial Sling.
- This update actually had no effect.
Patch 1.07: Reduced the stone fragment scatter randomness. Increased stamina attack power against guarding enemies. Reduced between two hits and adjusted the detection so that two hits are always made at close range. Decreased poise damage.
- Stamina Attack Power against guarding enemies was increased from 40 to 60.
  - Against guarding players the Stamina Attack Power was instead increased to 75.
- The incantation can now hit twice at very short melee range.
- Only Stance damage was decreased, from 5 to 4. Poise damage was increased from 50 to 54.
